This is tip #4 in a series of 13 to help you pass the CAE exam. Tell a friend about this tip.
I apologize if you've heard this one before, because it's pretty popular and well-known. Seems like every candidate I've met recently knows this one.
As I mentioned in a previous post, on the exam you'll often be able to eliminate two obviously wrong answers leaving you with two equally alluring options. If you find yourself in such a predicament, use this Final Four tip to help answer the question correctly:
- If the option has anything to do with the budget, it's probably the wrong answer.
- If the option has anything to do with conducting a survey, it's probably the right answer.
- If the option has anything to do with the Chief Elected Officer (chairman) talking to anyone except the association staff, it's probably the right answer.
- If the option has anything to do with consulting your attorney, it's probably the right answer.
If your two remaining options are both among those listed above, it is a bad omen. You should step away from the exam, as it is likely to explode. ;-) But seriously, this tip is only one of several tools you should gather to help you choose the correct answer.
