Panel on the Nonprofit Sector

The Panel on the Nonprofit Sector, a sub-group of Independent Sector, recently released its final report (pdf) to the Senate Finance Committee. The report suggests 120 finite actions for charities that will help improve accountability and transparency issues for nonprofits. Surely there are scores of recommended actions that will apply to (c)(6) organizations. I think this report will weigh heavily on the association industry. Accountability and transparency are two words that aren't going away for association executives.
