ASAE recently announced that 72 CAE candidates successfully completed the May 2005 exam. Compare this with the 183 that passed the December 2004 exam. If this isn't clear evidence that the impending new format of the exam caused many candidates to stop procrastinating, I don't know what is.
Another interesting point: The states with the most successful candidates were -- surprise! --Illinois (12), followed by Virginia (11) and Maryland (6). Minnesota and Missouri both had more successful candidates (4) than DC (3).
Well done, new CAEs!!! I hope to see you in Nashville.
