AMCs staging global takeover?

While this article touts the rise in AMCs, it doesn't really address the increase in the number of associations in recent years or the type of services they are seeking. Interestingly enough, our company has seen an increase in associations looking to take advantage of our back office services including database management, membership and event registration processing, accounting services and general office management. Many of these are not seeking an executive director or even on-site event management services. They have been all-volunteer run until they make the decision they need further help. I would say that the majority of associations we have pitched in the last six months have been seeking the a la carte menu of services rather than full association and event management services.
