Random intersections of technology and associations

Some Techcrunch posts this week got me thinking about new stuff:

  1. This post on Jobberwiki, a site where employees can write about what it's really like to work for a company, got me thinking about a wiki for association membership. In other words, every association claims to put their members first, but what if you could read about association membership from actual members whose words haven't been edited by marketing?
  2. This post on mobile television production company d7tv, mentions a projection by ABI research that there will be more than 500 million mobile video subscribers by 2011. That got me thinking that we need to be planning for this. Video podcasts are entering the mainstream. Video via mobile phone is already commonplace in east Asia. Any associations already taking advantage of mobile video?
