I was shocked but pleased when I opened my mail yesterday. Looking forward to using the credential!

I'm a complete badass
Anyone who passes the exam is indeed a complete badass. Congrats!
Ben, I am now officially part of the CAE Order now too. To celebrate I ran a half marathon and started an association blog. My first post focused on some CAE tips I put together for future applicants.
Check it out at:

Thomas, congrats on both accounts. I ran five miles today. That's almost half of a half marathon. I've been thinking about training for a 13 miler. Another thing to add to the list.
I, too, can now use the designation Complete Badass, CAE! What a relief to finally have the results in hand!
Ben, running is addicting, isn't it? Almost as much as golf. Any chance I can convince you to sneak away from the annual meeting a little while in August to play Torrey Pines? Tiger dominated there this weekend.
Thomas, you might be able to convince me. I stayed at the Hilton Torrey Pines when my wife worked a conference there several years ago and I now regret not playing the course, even though I am a terrible golfer. But maybe by August I could at least have my game to a place one could call respectable.
I'm thrilled to be CAE! I have to keep looking at the letter just to confirm.

I've been out of my office due to illness so I didn't get my letter until this morning and I passed! YEAH!!! (I'm the one who created the 07-08 candidate wiki and the blog...)

Can't adequately explain what a load off my mind that letter was. That first word "CONGRATULATIONS" said it all.
Having gone through the process without the benefit of a study group, I would highly recommend it for anyone.
Tip No. 2: "Thinking like a 60-year-old white guy" helped and was great preparation for my next birthday. LOL
Larry W, CAE
Just to clarify, I mean, candidates should get into a study group if possible.
Otherwise, you're operating in a vacuum.
LW, CAE
Larry, you are well prepared for the big 6-0. Congratulations!
When I walked out of the exam room at 3 hours 42 minutes, I felt fairly confident but not completely confident. As the time went by waiting for the results I became more and more anxious. When I got the letter, I think it's the first time I've actually yelled with joy at work. Congrats to all my fellow CAEs!
Congrats!
