CAE events at ASAE Annual Meeting

Since this is the CAE blog, it seems only natural that I should point out the CAE-themed events at the ASAE/Center Annual Meeting:

State of the Association Industry in Extreme Focus
When: Sunday, August 14th, 5:15 pm - 6:45 pm
The traditional walk ceremony recognizing the class of new CAEs returns to the big stage, followed by a special reception in honor of CAEs. Help recognize and celebrate new CAEs and Fellows, and participate in a discussion about the State of the Association Industry and the issues and trends affecting ASAE, The Center for Association Leadership, and our profession. Don’t miss the opportunity afterward to mingle at a special reception in honor of Certified Association Executives.

The Research and Philosophy Behind the CAE: A Report from the CAE Commission Chair and Certification Consultant
Presenters: Sharon J. Swan, CAE, Marsha Turner, CAE and Lenora G. Knapp, Ph.D.
When: Saturday, August 13th, 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm This session will describe how the program and exam have been developed, and provide an update on recent developments. If you help others prepare for the CAE exam, have volunteered to assist in item-writing, or are interested in learning about the technical aspects of the CAE program, you don’t want to miss this information packed session.

Exclusively for CAEs: Why Smart People Underperform
Presenters: Sharon J. Swan, CAE, Chris Busky, CAE, Peter O'Neil, CAE, James Zaniello, CAE
When: Monday, August 15th, 4:15 pm - 5:45 pm
