If you're a Virginia citizen and an association professional, then you have at least two reasons to read this post.
The Bacon's Rebellion blog has created a number of posts on Virginia Governor Mark Warner's budget proposal. Here's an introductory post and there are posts for each secretariat's portion of the budget. The Bacon's Rebellion bloggers are encouraging its readers to post their comments on the budgets.
I love that this is opening a new level of transparency for Virginia citizens. But why couldn't the Governor offer citizens the same opportunity to comment on the proposed budget over at his budget web page?
This activity appears to be a variation of the Cybermobbing supertrend that is highlighted in ASAE & The Center's new environmental scan.
