Volunteer recruitment campaign

Recently I blogged about our volunteer recruitment strategy. I'm so excited that our campaign is underway, and I wanted to share a few of its components. First is the banner ad at left that is running in our email newsletters, along with a short "article" that promotes volunteering. Second, the banner matches a print ad that runs in our magazine. Third, we have a dedicated e-mail going out today that expands on our theme that volunteering for VSCPA is good for your career. Fourth, we have a tag in everyone's email signatures promoting volunteerism:

Do it for YOU! Become a VSCPA volunteer. A recent Accountemps study shows that 86% of hiring managers consider involvement in a professional organization, like the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA), beneficial to your career. Discover the 30+ ways in which you can get involved at...
Then there's the online form that members fill out to indicate their interest in the various opportunities available to them. You'll see in the volunteer opportunity descriptions that we strive to let the members know up front what will be expected of them, how many people will be selected, and what qualifications are required.

Big ups to our marketing department for helping develop and execute the plan! I'll let you know how this campaign works out.
