Since my last week of blog posts reads a little like an Oprah interview with James Frey, I've decided to lighten up a little bit...
I mentioned a few weeks ago that I'm taking part in a panel discussion at next week's sold-out Technology Conference, sponsored by ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership (Tuesday, Jan 31 - Wednesday, Feb 1). My panel session is entitled Web 2.0: The Long Tail, Social Media and The Future of Associations, and I'd like to try to prove a point. The point I'd like to prove is that Web 2.0 and social media not only enable online participation, but also in-person interaction.
Here's where you come in.
If you're in this session (and I know some of you will be), request the microphone and say, "My question is for Mr. Martin. Ben, what is your favorite Bon Jovi song of all time?" For your trouble, I'll give you $20 on the spot, answer your question, tell the participants about this experiment and (if you want) feature you on the Certified Association Executive blog.
Don't let me down.

Let me know how that goes. I can't go to the conf (new job and too much $$) but if you're getting together with blogoclump types, I'd love to meet - lunch or dinner, whateva. Tuesday night I'm slammed tho.
Most definitely. Can you make it to the reception on Tuesday night? Here's a link:

Wish I could make it to see how this turns out.
