Blog your Board Meeting

Here's another interesting association use of a blog: The National Association of Manufacturers is blogging the events of a board of directors meeting. You've got to wonder how much filtering is going on, though. I doubt it's just like being there.

Here's the first post.

Speaking of "being there," how about podcasting your board of directors meetings? Some associations film their board meetings and make the proceedings available on CD-Rom after the meeting. Why not webcast them?

It might improve the quality of minute-taking??

Maybe. A fundamental principle of taking minutes is that they should be no more specific than they need to be. Reports, motions, votes.
