If you need to send large files to people in other offices, a cool (and free) alternative to FTP is YouSendIt.com. You don't even have to register. Just upload your big file (up to 100MB), enter your email address, the recipient's email address, and let it fly! Paid accounts will send files of up to 2GB. I've used it to send large audio files -- anything bigger than 10MB or so always goes by YouSendIt.com.
