Volunteer recruitment campaign success!

Remember that volunteer recruitment campaign I told you about a few months ago? It increased our volunteer pool by about 30% over last year. I'm so pleased with the way it turned out. We now have the enviable problem of having to turn away some qualified volunteers, or assigning them to volunteer opportunities where we actually have some room.

Throughout Mapping the Future of Your Association, Karl Albrecht repeats the recommendation over and over for associations to aggressively seek out volunteers in light of the declining numbers of volunteers in the US. If there's one area I'm in charge of where I feel we're doing it exactly right, this is it.
